Step 1
Plan Selection & Quotation
a) View our large range of homes on the web site and make a selection.
Before requesting a quote for a stone kit home, you are encouraged to select your dream home from the large range available for viewing on our web site. After this selection process, we can make an appointment with you to discuss your needs and any amendments you might feel are necessary before a quotation is provided.
b) Make an appointment with one of our qualified sales representatives.
After selecting the home that best suits your needs, we offer free quotes with our qualified sales representatives generally available immediately - though custom quotations will take approximately 48hrs. If you are happy with your selection and the quote offered, you may progress to the next stage by signing the Stone Homes’ contract to supply the kit home to you. Any additional costs due to any custom design you may wish to have for your home will be incorporated into the quote.
Step 2
Plan Administration
a) Order your plans.
Package 1.
5% Deposit taken.
The 5% deposit is taken in order to get a set of House Plans underway.
What you will receive;
* copies of each set which consists of:
* Floor Plans (internal view of rooms, walls, doors, and windows.)
* Elevations (front, back, left and right views of house.)
* Sections (vertical section showing concrete slab, internal rooms and roof truss.)
* Foundation Slab (Layout of foundations of the building.)
* Slab details (What the foundation consist of and materials to be used within the slab.)
* Connection details (connection details explains to the builder how everything is connected together.)
* Roof truss detail (explains to the builder how the roof is to be constructed.)
* Structural notes. (Explains the roof load, wind load, door and window schedule.)
Please Note:
All Stone Homes are designed and certified to the Building Code of Australia. The plans supplied will be fully engineered only for general sites (class A, S and M), NOT for any other classes. If your site does not fall within these categories additional engineering and a Geotech Survey plus a Surveyors report is required for us to generate the engineering for the plans, incurring an additional cost.
Package 2.
5% Deposit taken plus an additional $2000 +GST for all plans required for council
What you will receive;
All copies of plans plus the detailed drawings.
E.g. Basix, Site plan, Survey plans, Landscape plans, Streetscape and Shadow diagram plans, Etc.
Plus any extra engineering required will be provided by Stone Homes
Stone Homes requires a surveyed plan by a qualified surveyor so the plans can be drawn to council requirements.
Please Note any major alterations that require re engineering will result in a extra charge.
Step 3
Payment of the balance of the contract price
a) Final Payment.
After all relevant approvals have been obtained and you are ready to place the order for the materials for the kit home from Stone Homes, the final balance of the contract price must be paid to Stone Homes, before the order for such materials are processed and delivered.
After the final balance is settled, the kit is ordered and passed on to our suppliers. The estimated time of delivery is approximately 3-4 weeks.
b) Construction Manual.
This manual is provided to ensure the construction of the kit (by a qualified builder who has their own Home Warranty Insurance) is carried out in accordance with the engineering standards required. The manual contains text and diagrams to assist with the construction process, although Stone Homes assumes no responsibility for the construction of the kit home unless specifically stated within the contract.
c) Complete Bill of Materials.
This document ensures the owner has information on-site to check that the materials delivered are as per the original quotation.
